CILA offre une précision allant jusqu'à 99,9999 % et identifiera en quelques secondes tous les documents susceptibles d'intéresser les douaniers, les gardes-frontières, les militaires et la police. CILA a été développé par quatre scientifiques spécialisés titulaires d’un doctorat en physique nucléaire. Ils ont passé plus de 35 ans à se concentrer sur un objectif principal : le balayage neutronique pour détecter la contrebande, les explosifs et les articles présentant un intérêt pour les douanes et autres autorités. 

Le CILA développe depuis les années 1980 une technologie de balayage neutronique utilisant des techniques de temps de vol pour les particules liées. Plusieurs unités ont été fabriquées et vendues au laboratoire national d'Argonne à Chicago, au ministère néo-zélandais de la pêche et de l'agriculture et à la marine américaine pour désamorcer des explosifs. Un prototype de numérisation des bagages d'avion a également été achevé et présenté à Springfield, en Virginie.

CILA offers an accuracy of up to 99.9999% and will identify in seconds all documents that may be of interest to customs officials, border guards, the military and the police. CILA was developed by four specialist scientists with PhDs in nuclear physics. They have spent more than 35 years focusing on one primary goal: neutron scanning to detect contraband, explosives and items of interest to customs and other authorities.

Since the 1980s, CILA has been developing neutron scanning technology using time-of-flight techniques for bound particles. Several units were manufactured and sold to the Argonne National Laboratory in Chicago, the New Zealand Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture, and the United States Navy to defuse explosives. An airplane baggage scanning prototype was also completed and demonstrated in Springfield, Virginia.

What can CILA scan devices reveal?

CILA technology will detect all important organic substances programmed into the computer.

Materials that can be programmed include:

• Explosives; Either liquid or solid

• Drugs

• Gunpowder

• Nuclear and radioactive materials

• All organic materials such as tobacco, alcohol, soy flour, corn, meat, coffee.
